Functional Medicine Certified Health Coach
Bio Below

Marci, functional medicine certified health coach with MCHM, has always had an interest in fitness, health and nutrition, and how it could help her become a better athlete. She was introduced to holistic health in college at the University of Vermont, where she switched her major to Health Education. In the fall of 1990, she began teaching middle school health in Portland, OR. That’s when she found her calling for health, coaching, teaching and helping others.
Between 2001 and 2017, Marci’s family fell into difficult health issues, but traditional medicine left them searching for answers. Marci began researching and seeking alternative health care providers, with hopes of finding the root cause of illness and holistic healing solutions. Through this experience, Marci’s family finally found the empathy, help and healing they deserved.
This inspired Marci to take on a new path in 2016, when she decided to combine her expertise in Nutrition Thearapy and Health Coaching with a functional medicine perspective. In 2019, she completed a year-long coaching program with the Functional Medicine Coaching Academy and became a National Board Certified-Health and Wellness Coach (NBC-HWC). In March 2022, she completed her Masters of Science in Human Nutrition and Functional Medicine at the University of Western States.
Now, she’s working toward becoming a Certified Nutrition Specialist, a nationally recognized certification. She is also a member of the American Nutrition Association and the National Board for Health and Wellness Coaching.
In her personal life, Marci enjoys the outdoors, skiing, hiking, swimming in the ocean, traveling and reading. She has a passion for serving the Lord, meeting new people and learning new things. A wife of 30 years, Marci is also a proud mom to three kids (26, 23, 21), a grandma to two grandsons, and a dog lover.
